Sissela Tucker
Director of Educator Network Design
Sissela Tucker is the Director of Educator Network Design at the One8 Foundation, where she builds networks that connect exceptional leaders throughout Massachusetts to facilitate the sharing of innovative applied learning practices. Sissela strongly believes that students thrive when they are afforded opportunities to problem-solve and construct their own solutions in a safe and supportive environment.
Sissela joined the team in 2022, after an extensive career teaching and leading schools, both throughout the U.S. and internationally. She has taught in public, private, and charter schools — in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Washington DC; Providence, RI; and Milford, MA — initially as a STEM teacher, and for the past six years as a school leader. Sissela holds a BS in Biology from The George Washington University, an M.Ed in Curriculum and Teaching from Argosy University, and a CAGS in K-12 School Administration from the Principal Residency Network. In Fall 2020, she was named as an Influence 100 Fellow by the Department of Education in Massachusetts.
Sissela lives in the ‘burbs with her husband and rambunctious twin toddlers. In her free time, she loves exploring new rail trails, coaching her kids’ soccer team, and trying out new restaurants, especially if they serve sushi.
