High-quality implementation is paramount for impact. Foundations often make strategic decisions about what programs to support but rarely consider the full set of supports required for schools to implement with fidelity. The One8 Applied Learning Hub partners with schools across the Commonwealth to assist with implementing our grantees’ cutting edge, high-quality applied learning programs. We learn alongside schools as they implement and develop supplemental supports and complementary offerings for teachers, students and volunteers to amplify the impact.

What does this work look like?

The Applied Learning Hub accomplishes this work by:

• Deploying an implementation team of former educators to learn from early adopting schools doing best-in-class implementation work 
• Creating learning communities of educators so they can easily share ideas and best practices across schools and districts 
• Holding statewide student events and competitions to showcase students’ work
• Connecting industry professionals to classrooms and events so students can benefit from authentic feedback and see the relevance of what they are learning
