Ayla Spitz
Portfolio Analyst, Jewish Life & Israel
Ayla joined One8 in 2024 as a Portfolio Analyst on the Jewish Life and Israel portfolio team. She supports grant-making efforts in various areas within the portfolio through due-diligence, research, and data analysis. Prior to starting at One8, Ayla represented Team Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics in swimming.
Ayla spent the first 12 years of her life in Massachusetts, then moved to Southern California, where her family still resides. She received a BA in Political Economy and an MA in Global Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MS in Data Science from Northwestern University. She competed on the varsity swim teams at both Cal and Northwestern, and her allegiances remain equally divided between both schools. Now retired from competitive swimming, she lives in the North End and enjoys spending her free time reading, cooking, and exercising outdoors.
