Education
Nick is a Senior Portfolio Manager with the One8 Foundation where he works on the education portfolio. Prior to One8, he supported non-profits and education agencies on strategy and data use as an independent consultant and as a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Company. Earlier, he served as Executive Director of the Strategic Data Project, part of Harvard University’s Center for Education Policy Research. Prior to Harvard, he spent nearly a decade working on school district strategic planning challenges as a Managing Director with the District Management Council. Earlier positions were with Parthenon, Arthur D. Little, and BMW.
Originally from Canada, he holds a BA in Economics from McGill University in Montreal and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He also holds an executive certificate in education finance from Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy. In his spare time, he is a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education where he has taught since 2008. He lives in Newton, MA with his wife, three children, and intrepid rescue hound who valiantly defends the realm from the squirrel menace.
